LAST DAY. MORE TO COME.

News 8 says it is brought to viewers in HD. Interning(working for free) this semester has definitely help me gain high definition. I mean that in knowledge, experience, vision and pure stokeness about life. It's like a huge step for me in a door of success, almost what I felt when I started this internship.

Today I can't believe I forgot my camera though, I've gotten shots of the news room and control room but not the studio. But I realized this is not the last time I'll see this place. If I get a job here, it'll sicken me even. So today I finally got to talk to the chopper, and being in the "live tv" mode is always a good feeling.

So what's next? Well as a filmmaker I think being anywhere would be fine, but to pursue a career might be a different thing. I'll be saving up to move to the north of San Diego, and I won't be specific since the name of that place is so cliche. It's a place of fake dreams, losers and I'll be joining them. Pumped.

Even though this isn't an awards ceremony but a last day at my news internship, I would like to thank my girlfriend Rejel, my family, all my friends, and the supportive professors and mentors I've had through college. The 6 and a 1/2 years have been long and hard, but also fun at times. I just know my life is going somewhere. I'm not talking about becoming "successful" or living the American dream(which is lame). It's simple, no more no less.

F-18 crashes into home in University City

Super rad day at the newsroom! You can't be in a more intense situation than reporting a "breaking news" report. Today I was really tired and feeling over the whole internship. Basically I wanted this week to be over, I wanted this semester to be over. But there's no rush as my concience guides me. Still I've been waiting for this moment for a year now. It's super duper rediculus that San Marcos requires the 3 semester requirement of a forign language but at the same time it's a blessing in disguise.
Back on the subject of why the newsroom was so rad... there was intensity. This intensity was no joke, an F-18 crashed into a home today. One thing I noticed was the impact of the situation. The intensity of the story affects the news in terms of sponsors, commercials, and other airtime situations. But in order to make sponsors happy, the news channel has to find a time to squeeze in all commercials to make up for their lost time. Here's a slight dilemma, these commercials might be aired at times where viewers aren't glued to their TV. The noon for some reason is a good time or has the most viewers. I'm not going to assume that people watch the news during lunch all the time. Anyways, there were things that answered the questions I always had; Why cover the news that all the other channels will cover? Won't the ratings be the same? It's local news, why even try? The answers for these questions were answered in a direct and simple way. They could be anything from: ethics, passion of doing the news, satisfying sponsors and news fanatics(surprisingly there are people who watch the news like it's a television series).

Since today was breaking news day, stories had to be lively covered, anchors and reporters had to bring out their adlib skills at max level. It was great to see this change of pace. I honestly hate routines, but with a little change you can make or natural changes that are made it might not be so bad.

This is about the time to sign off. I'm doing this post at work and I hate my current part time job as well. It's just an expression, I'm a hater and a player. Peace.

Why is my internet down at home?

I finally figured it out today. Just reset the modem.

But other things are going down, and hopefully with you reading this you won't feel down. But I've encountered some problems in my current music video. I got a new camcorder just for this project. Here's what's wack. It's a miniDV camera that shoots HD and since it's a refurbished camera it isn't playing back what I recorded. Luckily I've experienced the troubles of using electronic and film cameras and basically shit happens. So the only thing I can do is reshoot the footage and hope for the best next time. There was more technical things to talk about, but really that's the whole situation. As Bruce Lee has taught me and other philsophies, keep things simple. The key word is SIMPLE.

So a lesson I'm trying to point out today is, don't stress and make things worst. Just fix what you can and move on.

nice thanksgiving break.

Today was the start of the regular school/work mode. Excited as I should be, I wasn't. I mean its just a "get up and do your thing" type week. 3 more of these weeks to be exact and it'll be the end of the semester. But then again, all people have to go through this, and I'm sneezing right now at this exact MOMENT! Continuing on, I can't stand Vietnamese class anymore. It's not super bad or the teacher sucks, it's her teaching! I just don't understand how a student can go through 2 straight hours of a teacher, professor, or lecturer reading vocab words off a sheet of paper with no interaction to keep the students alive. It's not boring, it's not effective. I will be honest, I did improve in the language throughout the semester, but it could be way better.
